Everything You Need to Know

We’re the first fishing club for anglers located in North Texas where all tournament lakes are within 75 miles of DFW Airport!

Our goal is to provide competitive crappie fishing tournaments for local anglers. Not all anglers want to or are able to travel hours away or stay a whole weekend to join a fishing tournament. We wanted to create local tournaments for weekend anglers, competitive anglers, and families to join, enjoy, and compete for prizes.

Chris grew up fishing farm ponds with his grandpa, and they always loved catching black bass and catfish. He got his first boat back in the 90’s where he really found a love for the chase and the sport of fishing. As life goes on you get married and have kids, but kids grow up, move out, off to college, and get married themselves. He is married to LaWanna Thompson and they have three daughters and one son. Life got busy so, he took a little break from fishing but, after his last one left for college he was back in the game in 2018 when he started fishing again with family and friends.

He decided to switch gears from bass fishing and started crappie fishing, and met some amazing people along the way. He has competed in Crappie Anglers of Texas Tournaments as well as Crappie Masters Tournaments. He found every Angler he met to be a quality person, admired that comradery, and knew he wanted to be a part of it, but the travel aspect and expenses were keeping a lot of the quality Anglers he knew away. He wanted to create something local and fun that supports unbiased competition. All lakes will be within 75 miles of DFW Airport; the tournament director will not be competing in this trail.
